GAIN secures three-year funding

GAIN is to receive Department of Health funding (through the Third Sector Investment Fund) for a three-year piece of research and development looking at the impact of advocacy services in the region. Work will be concentrated on two key areas.

The first will involve looking at the role and place of advocacy within the Transformation of Health and Social Care Agenda, particularly around Personalisation.

The second strand is looking at ways in which advocacy projects can demonstrate value in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and economy. It is hoped that a working group will be established, involving advocacy project managers and commissioners, to look at ways in which the two can work together to develop an outcomes focused approach to performance monitoring and evaluation.
